Delete your Theatre Diary account
Theatre Diary, by Eugene Kuznetsov · Last updated: 25 October 2026
Delete it in the app
- Open Theatre Diary and go to Profile → Settings.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm with your password or Google account. Guests just confirm.
Your account and data are deleted straight away. This works for guest accounts too, and you don’t need an email address.
No longer have the app?
Email privacy@theatrediary.link with the subject “Delete my Theatre Diary account”. Send it from the email address you sign in with (for Google sign-in, that Google account’s address). If you can’t, tell us your display name and we will ask you to confirm the request. We will confirm when we receive it, and delete your account within 30 days.
This route is only for people who no longer have the app. Guest accounts have no email address, so we may not be able to find one from an email: if you’re a guest, delete your account in the app.
What we delete
- Your sign-in account, including your email address (Firebase Authentication).
- Your profile: display name, profile photo link, pronouns and profile colour.
- All your diary entries and lists, public and private.
- Who you follow and who follows you, including your entry in each other person’s list.
- Any public copies of your entries, reviews or comments that an earlier test version published.
- The copy of your data on the device you delete from.
What we keep, and for how long
- Crash reports and usage analytics, if you had them switched on: these are not linked to your account and expire automatically (crash reports after 90 days, analytics under Google’s retention settings).
- Your deletion email, if you emailed us: kept for up to 2 years as a record that we acted on your request.
If you use Theatre Diary on other devices, uninstall it or clear its storage there to remove the offline copy.
Delete some data without deleting your account
You can delete individual diary entries in the app. To have other specific data deleted, email privacy@theatrediary.link.
For more about how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
